BMW announcing X7 today

The German based automaker BMW will be officially announcing the brand new X7, its largest ever SUV, today, the 28th if March, as it will be launched in three or even four years.

Details on the development of the new BMW X7 have been around for quite some time now but it seems that the large and luxurious German SUV will be officially announced today. These rumors aren’t coming from a miraculously BMW insider but they are a report published by Automotive News. According to our source, the BMW X7 will be launched in either 2017 or 2018 and it will be riding on a platform which will be shared between the next 5-Series and the next 7-Series.

The new BMW X7 will become a rival to models such as the new Range Rover or the Mercedes-Benz GL-Class and it will become available with a third row of seats option, being able to accommodate up to seven people. The model in question will be targeted at United States buyers and the carmaker is planning on producing 50,000 units of it, annually. The X7 should be hitting the production line at the Spartanburg facility. More details on it are limited for the moment.
