Officially titled the “BMW Individual 7 Series The Next 100 Years,” the special 7 Series is another model set to mark the group’s 100th anniversary.
The limited 7 Series centennial edition will be a limited series model and features a bespoke Centennial Blue metallic exterior wrap with forged 20-inch lightweight alloy wheels. There are also handcrafted signets on the B pillars reading “The Next 100 Years.” Most likely this is not the only celebratory 7 Series as the year is still early on and BMW has prepared lots of centennial-related activities and introductions. The model’s custom styling is also present inside where the owner will be treated to Smoke White BMW Individual fine grain Merino leather upholstery and quilted seats with hand-woven piping. There’s also an Alcantara headliner, piano black trim, and a BMW Individual steering wheel with wood accents. The cabin also features a “1 of 100” inscription on the center stack and “The Next 100 Years” lettering on the headrests.
Additionally, every buyer of the special model will also get a unique “Montblanc for BMW” centennial fountain pen which has also been treated to the same Centennial Blue metallic accents and a rhodium-plated Au750 gold Montblanc nib. Powertrain choices will range from the 4.4-liter V8 with 450 horsepower to the 6.6-liter V12 with 612 hp. Also available will be a plug-in hybrid version sporting a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine assisted by an electric motor, with a combined total output of 326 hp. Production will be capped to just 100 examples and just five cars, developed starting from the M760i xDrive, will be offered in the United States.
