BMW and Pininfarina have recently teamed up in order to create the Gran Lusso Coupe, which will be officially presented to the public at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’este.
The German based automaker BMW has recently announced a collaboration with the famous Italian car design firm Pininfarina, which will give birth to a completely new model. This will be named the BMW Gran Lusso Coupe Pininfarina and it will continue the same theme seen on the Zagato Coupe, last year. The new coupe is rumored to get typical BMW proportions, like the long hood, the short front and rear overhangs or the large wheelbase.
The BMW Gran Lusso Coupe Pininfarina is powered by a 6.0 liter twin turbo V12 engine, the same one used on the 7-Series. The unit is producing a total output of 544 HP and it has a peak torque of 550 lb-ft. Rumors are saying that the BMW Gran Lusso Coupe will become the basis for a brand new BMW model, which will be named the 8-Series. The new BMW and Pininfarina created model will be unveiled on the 24th of May, during the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’este.
