The brand new BMW i3 has been recently spotted on the road while being tested, with light camouflage on its body.
The BMW i3 will be the first model to enter the new “i” brand signed by the German based automaker and the vehicle is no longer a surprise for anyone, just like its larger and more expensive future brother, the i8. The most recent news involving the new BMW i3 is coming from Germany where our spy photographers have managed to catch the model on camera. The images posted below are revealing the five-door version of the model which, as you can clearly see, it has been wrapped in light camouflage.
The BMW i3 will be a pure electric vehicle, but a range-extender version is also expected to be offered. The latter will receive a 0.65 two-cylinder motorcycle engine, acting as an auxiliary generator for charging the batter. The new BMW i3 is rumored to be priced at 35,000 GBP in the UK and at 40,000 USD over-seas. The model should be officially presented to the public in September, during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. Additional details on the i3 remain unknown for the moment.
