The final production version of the BMW i3 will be officially presented to the public later on this year, during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, in September.
The BMW i-range is getting ready to launch its first ever vehicle and this will be the new i3, as the German based automaker has recently announced. The final production version of the BMW i3 will be officially unveiled in September, during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. BMW said in Geneva that buyers of the new i3 will have the possibility of renting a regular BMW when they want to take longer trips and the vehicle’s range isn’t enough.
BMW didn’t provide any details on the i3’s final production version just yet but the i3 Coupe, unveiled in late 2012, during the Los Angeles Auto Show, has a different front fascia, a new rear end, restyled doors and some other tweaks, compared to the regular version. Power to the BMW i3 Coupe Concept was provided by a 170 HP (125 kW) and 250 Nm of torque (184 lb-ft) electric motor, with a total range of 100 miles (160 km). Details on the BMW i3 in its final shape will be announced in Frankfurt.
