A BMW i8 has been hit by a Nissan in Thailand recently but thankfully the damages are not that expensive.
We are not sure if this is the first recorded crash of a BMW i8 on public roads but it was inevitable, considering the fact that it was introduced last year, in Frankfurt. The image posted above is coming all the way from Thailand and it is showing a Nissan Navara touching the right door on this BMW i8. The fault of this accident is probably on the Nissan’s driver side but if you have more info on the subject, please feel free to share.
The BMW i8 is a “green” sports car currently produced in Leipzig, Germany. The model has been based in the i8 Concept and it is offered in a two-door coupe body style, packing a 1.5 liter turbocharged inline three-cylinder gasoline burner under its hood and a 131 HP (98 kW) electric motor, fed by the 7.1 kWh lithium ion battery. Top speed of the model stands at 250 km/h (155 mph), electronically limited.
