The first BMW i8 to be delivered to Puerto Rico has been recently caught on camera and it looks great with its black finished body.
Whenever thinking about exclusive, expensive, powerful or just impressive vehicles, Puerto Rico isn’t exactly in our list of countries where we might expect to see that mostly because the territory has home high taxes when it comes to cars. The new owner of the BMW i8 pictured below has taken delivery of his brand new ride and we can only hope to see more exclusive cars from Puerto Rico, in the near future.
The BMW i8 is the company’s second entry to the new “i” range, after the i3 hatchback, and it has been officially presented to the public, for the very first time, during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, in its final production form. The model became available for order in Germany starting June 2014 and the deliveries in the U.S. began back in August. The i8 has a two-door coupe body style and it is packing a 1.5 liter turbocharged inline three-cylinder gasoline engine, backed up by a 131 HP (98 kW) electric motor, taking its juice from the 7.1 kWh lithium ion battery. The total range of the car, in EcoPro mode, stands at 600 km (370 miles).
