The aftermarket specialists from German Special Customs have officially released the first details on their upcoming program for the BMW i8, the iTRON.
The BMW i8 is one hot ride to own and the model in question is just about to get even hotter as tuning companies have started to create styling packages for it. The newest one is known as German Special Customs, or GSC for short, and it has added some interesting tweaks to the popular German “green” sports car in a program called the iTRON.
According to the tuning company, the BMW i8 iTRON has been equipped with features such as the new front bumper, which is now getting a larger air intake and a front lip spoiler, a new rear bumper, faux exhaust tips, different side skirts and that’s about it. The model has been also equipped with LED daytime running lights and it is now riding on 20-inch alloy wheels.
The guys from GSC haven’t said anything about some performance tweaks so the i8 iTRON is still coming with the same powertrain capable of producing a total output of 362 HP (266 kW), which is enough for a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint made in 4.4 seconds and a top speed electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph).
