The Bavarian automaker has recently changed its top and midsize contenders – the 7 and 5 Series, respectively – so it’s only natural they’re now working on the 3 Series.
But before the all-new 3 Series comes out to play, the brand is also catering for current customers of the ongoing generation. The company’s top selling model is getting three new special editions to bring a wide array of styling enhancements inside and out. Up first is the “Edition Sport Line Shadow”, getting black headlight and taillight inserts, as well as black accents on the kidney grille. The theme continues on the lower air ducts and the exhaust tips have been painted chrome black – while there are also Jet Black 18-inch wheels. There are also interior upgrades – fabric and leather combo for the seats and dark aluminum carbon accents with pearl gloss chrome strips for the trim, among others.
Next up is the “Edition Luxury Line Purity,” coming with satin-finished aluminum accents, even on the 17-inch alloys or the optional 19-inch set. The interior comes with an exclusive cognac leather and wood trim as well as the pearl gloss chrome strips like on the Sport Line Shadow. Last, but not least is the “Edition M Sport Shadow,” adding black inserts for both front and rear lighting clusters, a black kidney grille, and a chrome black exhaust – as well as 19-inch alloys with orbit grey finish. Inside, BMW is using a subdued appearance with pearl gloss chrome trim and dashboard contrasting stitching, as well as dark aluminum carbon trim. This one also gets hardware changes – M sports suspension and aero pack, 18-inch M wheels, as well as other M-branded components. Additionally, any 3 Series will be fitted with standard LED headlights and fog lights, while on the inside the Professional navigation system gets a touchscreen for the iDrive.
