BMW is planning Z4 M35i Performance for the U.S. image

The German based automaker BMW is planning to develop a new top of the line version of the Z4, which will become available over-seas and it will be named the Z4 M35i Performance.

The BMW Z4 is usually driven by people who can’t afford a supercar but they act like they are in one and this makes them really hated in most markets. But owners of the regular BMW Z4 should grab a chair and sit down because this news is for them: the carmaker is working on a new version of the roadster, which will be named the Z4 M35i Performance and it will be launched in the United States. So, there you have it, sell your current Z4, emigrate to the U.S. and just wait for the car to arrive at dealerships.

According to the guys at autocar.co.uk, the BMW Z4 M35i Performance is expected to be the new top of the line model and it has been designed to replace the Z4 sDrive35iS. The model will most likely keep its 3.0 liter six-cylinder engine, which will probably get a small power boost from the current 335 BHP and 450 Nm of torque (332 lb-ft). The BMW Z4 M35i will also get a revised steering for improved handling and a sportier suspension. The model will probably be presented to the public next year at the 2013 NAIAS in Detroit.
