One of the first renderings with the BMW M2 Coupe has recently hit the web and it might provide us with a first look into a new version of the 2-Series Coupe.
The German based automaker BMW has recently introduced the brand new M235i Coupe, the successor of the 1M Coupe “pocket rocket”, which has been considered by many to be a revival of the original M3 E30, but now, with the new 2-Series Coupe already out, the carmaker is apparently planning to introduce an even more powerful version, which will be named the M2 Coupe. The model hasn’t been confirmed for production just yet but this didn’t stop artists from drawing it.
The brand new BMW M2 Coupe is expected, if it will indeed get the green lights for production, to follow the same path as the upcoming M4 Coupe and M3 Sedan, with wider fenders, bespoke bumpers, tricked out boot, quad tailpipes and much more. The model will also get the updated braking system, the sport tuned suspension system, the M alloy wheels and so on. As far as the engine goes, this will probably be a smaller displacement version of the one found on the new M3/M4, but it will also be more powerful than the one of the M235i Coupe.
