The new BMW M2 Coupe will begin its first deliveries next year in April.
BMW will kick off production for the brand new M2 Coupe in November, but that doesn’t mean that it will be arriving to its first owners anytime soon. In fact, the Bavarian based automaker will be starting deliveries of the compact two-door performance vehicle in April, 2016. The model in question will be priced from 56,700 euros, on its local market, while in the United Kingdom this will start from just over 44,000 GBP. Its cost is justifiable and this is placing it exactly between the M235i and the M4 Coupe.
The BMW M2 Coupe is the newest model signed by the M division. It has been officially unveiled a few days back and it is offered as the successor of the 1M Coupe. The vehicle is a reminder of the original M3, the E30, and it has lapped the Nurburgring in just 7 minutes and 58 seconds, according to its launch film. The performance car is bringing, besides the updated body, the hotter cabin and the M specific wheels features such as the M Servotronic steering, the Active M differential, the M specific brakes, the Driving Assistant, the MDM and so on. Under its hood, a 3.0 liter twin turbo inline six-cylinder engine is resting, capable of putting down a total of 370 HP (272 kW) and 465 Nm (343 lb-ft) of torque. Power is sent to the RWD through either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed M DCT. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration is made in 4.5s and 4.3s respectively and top speed is limited to 250 km/h (155 mph).
