It hasn’t been unveiled officially yet but that isn’t stopping its “detailing process”.
We’re talking about the newest model to wear the M badges on its body, the BMW M2 Coupe. There is no surprise anymore that the Bavarian based car brand is getting ready to pull the wraps off its body, considering the fact that numerous prototypes have been spied over these past few months, but it seems that there won’t be a lot of surprises left on it for BMW to impress its fans. The performance vehicle is believed to start from 54,000 euros, according to a recent report published by Auto Bild, and this basically means that it will be almost 10,000 EUR more expensive than the current range-topping version, the M235i Coupe.
The BMW M2 Coupe should hit the production line this November, after making its public debut two months earlier, at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. The performance compact two-door coupe is expected to get a 3.0 liter turbocharged six-cylinder engine under its hood, which should produce a total output of 370 HP (272 kW) and 465 Nm or 500 Nm with overboost. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), rumor has it that the M2 will needs less than 4.5 seconds and its top speed will be electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph), risible to 274 km/h (170 mph) with the optional M Driver’s Package. Additional details on it are limited at the time.
