It’s not 100 percent sure at this time but chances are we will see it on the road in the near future.
A BMW M2 CSL Coupe might shatter M3’s sales. This is why we’re not sure that this model will actually happen but according to a member of the high-performance vehicle is actually in the works. Keep in mind that the range-topping version of the 2-Series Coupe, the M2 Coupe, hasn’t been unveiled at this point so adding yet another top of the line variant to the range seems even more awkward. If it will indeed happen, the vehicle will be a reminder of the original M3 CSL E46.
The upcoming BMW M2 Coupe will be officially introduced at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, later on this month. It will be making use of the 3.0 liter six-cylinder turbocharged engine, capable of putting down a total of 365 HP (272 kW) and 465 Nm (500 Nm with overboost) in this configuration. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), the model will need approximately 4.5 seconds and top speed will be electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph). This will be risible to 274 km/h (170 mph) with the optional M Driver’s Package. Power will be sent to the rear wheels through a standard 6-speed manual or an optional 7-speed DCT gearbox. Some of the standard goodies found on the car will include the carbon fiber inserts, Navigation Pro, Harman Kardon sound system, Internet access, power heated front seats, tinted rear windows and so on.
