The brand new BMW M2 Coupe is the subject of a rendering which is showing us how it may look like in base spec.
The BMW M2 Coupe is the range-topping model of the 2-Series Coupe range, so offering it in a base spec makes absolutely no sense. However, don’t expect to see it in a showroom nearby anytime soon looking like the one pictured above, because the management board with the Bavarian based company hasn’t lost its mind. The image is depicting the model with black front and rear bumpers, with standard side mirrors and with a set of steel wheels.
If this happens, than expect a clean interior too so no leather / Alcantara, no climate control, not iDrive, no sports seats and no radio either. Sometimes, a rendering like this makes everything visible and we can see what would happen if carmakers wouldn’t play “by the rules”. The BMW M2 Coupe has been unveiled a few weeks back. This is succeeding the 1M Coupe and it’s reminding fans of the original E30 M3. The high-performance two-door coupe has a 3.0l twin turbo six-cylinder engine under its hood, producing 370 HP and 465 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the RWD through a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed M DCT, allowing a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5s and 4.3s respectively, and a top speed electronically limited to 250 km/h.
