The much anticipated BMW M2 Coupe has been recently caught on camera by our spy photographers while it was being tested out on public roads.
The development of a true BMW M2 car is no longer a surprise as the model in question has been already caught on camera. The powerful vehicle will be getting a sporty and aggressive design, along with a wider rear track. The brake calipers look pretty much the same as the ones on its larger brothers, the M3 and M4 but the front bumper looks exactly the same as the one seen on the M235i. The final production version may get a different design after all, considering the fact that this is just a test mule.
The twin exhaust pipes are not in place yet but they will be ready for the final production model. The M2 will be coming with more aggressive side skirts than the one seen on the M235i Racing, with a hood bulge, fender flares, air diffuser, trunk mounted spoiler and some other tweaks. The cabin will be receiving bucket seats, carbon fiber trim and a sport steering wheel. Power will most likely come from a 3.0L straight-six engine, from the M3 and M4, which will be downgraded and produce between 380 HP (279 kW) and 400 HP (294 kW). The car should be launched in late 2015.
