Our spy photographers have managed to capture the new BMW M2 Coupe on camera once again.
The development of the BMW M2 Coupe is almost done as the company is probably making the last tweaks but even so, don’t expect an unveil at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, this March, because the carmaker is planning on introducing it in a concept form. The model in question is believed to be introduced in September, at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, in its final production form, and it should be hitting the assembly line in November.
The 2016 BMW M2 Coupe will be the new range topping version of the 2-Series Coupe, which will stand above the current M235i. The performance two-door, four-seater is considered by many to be a reminder of the initial E30 M3 road car, mostly because of its size and its performance, so this might become the next “thing” with BMW enthusiasts.
The performance vehicle will be easily recognizable as it will be adopting a more aggressive body kit than the one found on the current M235i, along with the usual M badges, the larger alloy wheels, the modifications made to the cabin and also the performance tweaks which will include, besides a new engine, the reworked brakes and suspension system. Speaking of the engine, rumor has it that this will pack a 3-liter inline six-cylinder unit, the N55B30T0, which should produce 370 HP and 500 Nm of torque, connected to a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic transmission. There will also be an xDrive version.
