The first rendering with the upcoming BMW M235i Cabrio has recently hit the web and this may very well provide a first look into a new body style version of the 2-Series.
The German based automaker BMW has recently pulled the wraps off the brand new 2-Series and the model which attracted everyone’s attention was the top of the line M235i Coupe. The vehicle in question was compared by many to the original M3 Coupe, and this should be even better than the recently “deceased” 1M Coupe, even if it’s not as powerful as the “pocket rocket”.
The image posted above represents a rendering of the BMW M235i Cabrio. The company will indeed produce such a vehicle and this is a good exercise and preview of the upcoming model. When it will hit the market, the new BMW M235i Cabrio will get the same 3.0 liter inline straight six-cylinder engine as the 135i hatchback and as the M235i Coupe. The unit is good for 332 HP (240 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque, which is actually enough for a 4.8s time with the 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint, in the automatic version, and 5 seconds, with the manual transmission.
