BMW has released a new image with the upcoming M235i Racing, which is offering us another preview into the upcoming vehicle.
After it was officially brought into our attention just last week, with the help of this image, the new BMW M235i Racing is entering our news once again, this time with a new sketch released by the German based automaker. The image posted above is showing us the model with some M goodies on its body but chances are that the production vehicle will be quite different. BMW says that the racer will stand at 1,862 mm wide, without mirrors, at 1,380 mm tall, without the antenna, it will have a 2,691 mm wheelbase and a max track of 1,608 mm.
“The production models from the BMW M Performance Automobiles range are already incredibly sporty. Because of this, we did not have to make many modifications in order to get the BMW M235i Coupé up and running as a racing car”, said Jens Marquardt, the BMW Motorsport Director.
The BMW M235i Racing will become quite popular with motorsport newcomers because thanks to the ABS, DSC or Traction Control, less experienced drivers will be able to safely take it for a spin. The model will be powered by a 3.0 liter inline six-cylinder unit, the same one used on the street legal version, which is now producing 328 HP, 12 HP more than the standard vehicle. Prices will be set at 59,500 euros.
