BMW has recently pulled the wraps off the new M235i Racing, which will be offered to motorsport teams and drivers for a price of just under 60,000 euros.
BMW’s newest creation is named the M235i Racing and, as its name is “suggesting”, is the race version of the brand new M235i Coupe. The model in question has been designed to be used exclusively on the track and to compete in events like the VLN Endurance Championship.
“The production models from the BMW M Performance Automobiles range are already incredibly sporty. Because of this, we did not have to make many modifications in order to get the BMW M235i Coupe up and running as a racing car”, said Jens Marquadrdt, the BMW Motorsport director.
Power to the new BMW M235i Racing is still being provided by the same 3.0 liter inline six-cylinder engine, which is now producing a total output of 328 HP, compared to the standard 316 HP. The model in question has also received the mechanical limited-slip differential, the traction control, DSC and ABS. In order to pass the FIA safety regulations, the racer has received a special fuel tank. Just like we said above, the M235i Racing has been priced at 59,500 euros.
