The brand new BMW M235i has been recently spotted in Leipzig right after the company has announced its production start at the local facility.
The successor of the “pocket rocket” 1M Coupe, the brand new M235i, is being placed into the spotlights once again, after it has been unveiled just a few days ago, this time with the help of an image, with is showing the brand new model sitting quietly in a parking lot, in Leipzig, close to the company’s facility. With the BMW 1M Coupe being considered by many a resurrection of the classic M3 E30, the M235i Coupe will have the tough job of appealing to an array of obsessed fans.
The BMW M235i Coupe will get the same engine as the 135i hatchback under its hood, which is the 3.0 liter inline straight six-cylinder turbocharged unit. The engine is producing a total output of 332 HP (240 kW) and it has a peak torque of 450 Nm (332 lb-ft). Thanks to this configuration, the BMW M235i Coupe can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.8 seconds, with an automatic transmission, and 5 seconds, with the manual gearbox.
