BMW Ag., has announced the M3 Coupe Frozen Silver Edition – a special M3 designed to commemorate 40 years of the BMW M Division.
Just 100 Frozen Silver Edition M3′s will be sold in the UK, wearing a special plaque to highlight the limited edition nature of the car.
The vehicle receives the same 4.0-litre V8 as the standard BMW M3, but adds BMW’s Competition Pack, which comprises of 10mm lowered suspension and a seven-speed M-DCT transmission; this lowers the car’s 0-62mph time from 4.8 to 4.6 seconds.
On the cosmetic front the M3 Frozen Silver gets an eponymous paint job, matte black 19″ competition alloys, shadow line trim and added dark chrome for the tailpipes, front grills and side vents and Jet Black bonnet intakes.
Black leather with contrast stitching, an alcantara steering wheel, carbon fiber details an M Power logos feature in the cabin, as does a limited edition plaque.
According to the automaker, the vehicle adds nearly £9,000 of equipment to a standard M3, but all for an on-cost of “just” £4,000 – putting the car at £58,720 on the road. The car goes on sale in the UK 1 June, 2012.
