The German based automaker BMW has recently unveiled a special edition of the M3, named the DTM Champion Edition.
Just like its name is suggesting, the BMW M3 DTM Champion Edition has been made in order to pay tribute to the team’s DTM win in the 2012 season. According to the car manufacturer, the model in question will only be available in 54 units and all of them will get the Competition package, with M Drive, with the M Driver package and with the M DCT Drivelogic transmission. Besides these, the vehicles will also get a navigation system, parking sensors and heated seats as standard.
All 54 future owners of the BMW M3 DTM Champion Edition will enter the BMW M Fascination Nordschleife course under the close watch of Bruno Spengler, who has also signed each and every car. In order to stand out from the crowd, the BMW M3 DTM Champion Edition will get a Frozen Black Metallic finish, several ornaments are painted in matte black, the BMW M stripes can be found on the carbon fiber roof, the Canadian flag is found on the rear windows and every model is getting a number plaque. The V8 engine will remain stock. The limited DTM Champion BMW M3 Edition will be produced in Regensburg starting in February 2013 and the starting price of the model will stand at 99,000 euros, VAT included, in Germany.
