The German based automaker BMW has been recently spotted while testing the brand new M4 Cabrio.
With the BMW M4 Coupe already getting a concept version which is said to be unveiled this month, during the 2013 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, the drop top version of the model isn’t left aside either, as the carmaker has been recently spotted testing it. The BMW M4 Cabrio will get the same tweaks as its solid roof brother, except for the hardtop, which will fold down in a space between the rear seats and the trunk.
The final production version of the BMW M4 Cabrio will use the same engine as the M4 Coupe and M3, the 3.0 liter six-cylinder unit, which will produce a total output of 450 HP (335 kW) and 550 Nm of torque (405 lb-ft). This will replace the old V8 unit. Other features which will make their way onto the powerful droptop will be the new suspension setup, the dual exhaust system, the M badges, the body kit and the sports seats. Additional details on the BMW M4 Cabrio are limited for the moment and will probably be announced sometimes next year.
