The second body style of the new BMW M4, the Cabrio, has been recently spied while it was being tested in some cold weather conditions, in Northern Europe.
After officially pulling the wraps off the new BMW M4 Coupe, back in 2013, the carmaker is preparing the second body style of the model, the M4 Cabrio. The powerful drop-top can be seen in the images posted below with some light camouflage on its body, which is revealing the lower nose, the M-GmbH side vents, the rear end, which is probably fake because it looks like the one of the current model and some other tweaks.
The underpinnings, technologies, interior design and engine will be shared with its solid roof brother, the M4 Coupe. Power will be provided by the same 3.0 liter six-cylinder TwinPower Turbo unit, which is also found on the new M3 Sedan. The engine is producing a total output of 431 HP (317 kW) and it has a peak torque of 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque, sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual or to a seven-speed M DCT. The M4 Coupe can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.3 seconds and top speed has been electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph).
