BMW has brought the limited M5 30 Jahre M5 edition to the 2014 AMI Leipzig, to put the model into the spotlights once more.
Originally unveiled a month ago, the BMW M5 30 Jahre M5 Special Edition is now ending up in our news once again, this time with the German based automaker bringing it to the 2014 AMI Leipzig. The model in question has been designed to celebrate the M5’s 30th anniversary and it’s basically a limited edition of the super sedan, coming with an Individual Frozen Dark Silver paint job, with dark chrome accents, with the Competition Package and so on.
The 300 units of the BMW M5 30 Jahre M5 Special Ediiton will also be getting the updated M Dynamic Mode, the suspension lowered by 10 mm, the stiffer anti-sway bars, the revised management system, an increased charger pressure and others. The 4.4 liter V8 twin turbo engine found under its hood is now producing an extra 40 HP (29 kW) and 20 Nm (15 lb-ft) of torque. The total output stands at 600 HP (441 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft), sent to the wheels through a 7-speed DCT transmission. The 0 to 100 km/h acceleration takes 3.9 seconds and top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph).
