The new generation of the BMW M5, codenamed the F10, has been recently launched in Malaysia, and the model has been priced at RM898,800 on the road.
After the German based automaker has announced earlier this year that the new generation of the M5 will be launched in Malaysia on the 10th of March, BMW thought that time has come to attract more customers into the brand, and even if the powerful model is quite expensive in the Asian country, there’s no doubt that a lot of people were waiting for it.
The new BMW M5 is powered by a 4.4 liter V8 engine, which is developing a total output of 560 horsepower between 5,000 and 6,000 rpm, with a peak torque of 502 lb-ft, available from just 1,500 rpm. The engine is coming with the M TwinPower Turbo and it’s mated to a seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission Drivelogic with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters. The model can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 4.4 seconds, before reaching a limited top speed of 155 mph, but the top speed can go up to 190 mph with the M Driver’s Package.
BMW has chosen the Monte Carlo Blue for launching the M5 in Malaysia, with multi-spoke 19-inch wheels. The model has a starting price of RM898,800 on the road, without insurance and BMW Service Inclusive + Repair.
