The aftermarket specialists at Risden Engineering have recently announced a new tuning program for the new generation of the BMW M6 Coupe.
According to the tuning company, the powerful two-door BMW model will be known as the Risden 6R and the project has been started by the company’s founder, Sean Risden. The model will get an aero body kit, a stripped-out interior in order to lower the curb weight, a fully adjustable suspension syste, a roll cage to boost its rigidity, a duck-tail fixed spoiler and more. The Risden 6R will be unveiled in the first quarter of 2013 and it will be suitable for both the streets and track days.
Additional details on the BMW M6 Coupe by Risden Engineering are limited for the moment but as a quick reminder, the stock version of the German vehicle is powered by the same engine as the BMW M6 Convertible, and even in the brand new BMW M6 Gran Coupe, the 4.4 liter turbocharged V8, which is producing a total output of 560 HP. The unit is mated to a seven-speed dual clutch automatic transmission which is helping the new BMW M6 Coupe sprint from 0 to 62 mph in just 4.2 seconds (4.3s for the M6 Cabrio) before reaching a top speed of 155 mph. This can be raised to 189 mph with the M Driver’s Package.
