The newest M model in BMW’s lineup, the M6 Gran Coupe, has recently arrived in Romania, where the model was unveiled during the BMW M Drive Tour.
The BMW M Drive Tour is an event organized for owners of BMW M vehicles and it was held between May 30 and June 2, 2013, on an airport near Bucharest. Approximately 150 guests and M owners were able to test vehicles like the M6 Gran Coupe, the M6 Coupe, M6 Cabrio, M5, X6 M and M3. The BMW M6 Gran Coupe is the newest entry to the M lineup and this is now available in Romania from 114,400 euros, without VAT.
The model is powered by a 4.4 liter V8 engine, which is the same unit found under the hood of the M6 Coupe and M6 Cabrio. Power figures indicate a 560 HP (412 kW), between 6,000 and 7,000 rpm, and a peak torque of 680 Nm (502 lb-ft), available between 1,500 and 5,750 rpm. The engine is mated to a seven-speed M double clutch transmission, which is allowing the powerful vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.2 seconds, before reaching an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). BMW says that with the M Driver’s Package, the top speed can be raised to 305 km/h (189 mph).
