The BMW M6 GT3 will be officially presented to the public on the 15th of September, during the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.
BMW has recently announced its plans to introduce the new M6 GT3 during the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, this September. The model in question is a race car which will be making its track debut next year. This has already been displayed at several races across the Old Continent, but its every appearance has shown it covered in heavy camouflage. The carmaker has added numerous aerodynamic aids to it in order to make sure that this can go around the track as fast as possible. Some of these modifications include a revised front fascia, with the new grille, bumper and air intakes.
Changes haven’t stopped here because we can also mention the prominent air extractors on the bonnet, the new side skirts which have been lowered, the flared wheel arches and a modified rear. Under the hood, the new BMW M6 GT3 is getting a modified version of the 4.4 liter twin turbo V8 engine, which is also used on the road car. The output figures remain unknown at this point but we do know that it will come with more than 500 HP. These will be sent to the rear-wheel drive through a sequential transmission with six speeds. The racer weighs less than 1,300 kg and it will have a starting price of 379,000 euros. More details on it will be announced at the German automotive event.
