The German based automaker BMW is planning to develop a high-performance version of the 7-Series, which is expected to make its way onto the market in 2015.
Even if there is no official word on the upcoming BMW 7-Series from the car manufacturer just yet, the guys at autoblog.it are saying that the luxurious model will get a new generation in 2015 and a high-performance version is in the works. According to our source, the model will be named the BMW 770ix and it will get a 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8 engine, which will generate a total output of 475 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque.
When compared to the rival from Mercedes-Benz, the S63 AMG, the power is lower but the company’s engineers are planning to use lightweight materials light aluminum and the accent will be put on dynamics. Carbon fiber is another material which is expected to be used on developing the future BMW 770ix for the engine hood, roof and trunk. The BMW M770ix will get carbon-ceramic disc brakes, four tailpipes for the exhaust system, 20-inch alloy wheels and the model should be about 200 kg lighter than the current generation.
