The German based automaker BMW is planning to introduce a long wheelbase version of the 7-Series, which will hit the market on the next generation of the luxurious model.
With one of its main rivals, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, having the so-called S-Class Pullman, which is based on the new generation of the flagship sedan, the guys at BMW couldn’t stay away from this “battle” and it seems that the next generation of the 7-Series should give birth to a long wheelbase version. The announcement hasn’t been made official just yet but it’s coming under the shape of a report, published by the guys at Bimmer Today.
The new generation of the BMW 7-Series, in its long wheelbase form, is believed to share some underpinnings with Rolls-Royce, but this also means that its price will be significantly higher. As far as the engine lineup goes, we expect six-cylinder and eight-cylinder units to make their way onto the new model. Don’t act too surprised if you will see a V12 either, because this may be the new top of the line version. Sadly we have no more details on the new BMW 7-Series LWB but this may be announced sometimes next year, when the new generation of the 7-Series is believed to make its way onto the market.
