In November BMW reported another month of record sales with 170,932 units sold, up 26.4%.
Last month BMW sold 170,932 MW, MINI and Rolls-Royce vehicles, up from 138,954 units in November 2011. The company also had its best first eleven months, with sales up 10.1%, to 1,664,088 units, compared with 1,510,857 units sold during the same period last year.
“We posted solid gains in many of our markets last month and we aim to continue the momentum. This puts our record sales target for 2012 well within reach and we will once again be the number one premium car company worldwide,” said Ian Robertson, Member of the Board of Management of BMW AG, responsible for Sales and Marketing BMW.
The BMW X3 sold 14,653 units, up 28.6% and the current BMW X3 sold more than 250,000 units, up 23%, since it launch in November 2010. The BMW X1 continued its strong momentum with 14,711 vehicles sold, up 37.3%. Demand for the BMW 1 Series also remained high with 20,914 units sold, an increase of 37.3%, while the BMW 3 Series Touring sold 7,766 units, up 35.3%. The BMW 5 Series’ sales were up 28.1% to 30,232 units and the BMW 6 Series sold 2,166 vehicles, up 55.7%.
