BMW Reveals 6 Series Coupe image

Following its convertible sibling, treat which was first shown at the Detroit auto show in January, today BMW has revealed the new 6 series Coupe.

The new coupe is powered by a twin-turbocharged, direct-injected V-8 engine producing 400 horsepower.
As a complete ground-up replacement for its predecessor, the new 6 Series Coupe is in fact 75mm longer, 39mm wider and 5mm lower than the previous model, and can be ordered with an 8-speed automatic transmission or a 6-speed manual — one of the few left in the luxury-car ranks.

In Europe, BMW is expected to also launch a diesel version of the 6er, most likely the 640d.
Pricing will be announced later in the year and the public debut will occur next month at the Shanghai Motor Show.
