Social media is the power nowadays, since even a big carmaker like BMW decides to do some of the unveiling on their Facebook page. So, here enters the limited version X6 M Design Edition.
Decisively, this 100 units limited edition is designed to appeal to the hardcore X6 M fans, sporting a carbon front splitter, a matte black grille and 21-inch lightweight alloy wheels. The back is also adorned with a carbon fiber rear spoiler and a stylish rear diffuser. Customers can also order optional M Performance stripes – although they do seem a little too much. Oh wait, the X6 M could be considered a little too much, so what harm can be done with some colored strips?
Inside the cabin we can find a Black/Mugello Red leather-wrapped dashboard, matching two-tone Merino leather seats and Piano Black trim. The model also has Mugello Red contrast stitching and an individually numbered plaque to remind the owner what vehicle he bought.
Since we saw this on Facebook, there’s no word on performance, but talking about a “Design” edition, it’s safe to assume the standard powertrain remains unchanged: twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine with 555 hp (408 kW) and 680 Nm (502 lb-ft) of torque. Good enough for a 0-100 km/h in 4.7 seconds and the usual limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
