BMW has recently announced its plans to introduce the 740Ld xDrive in the United States, where the model should make its way onto the market this spring.
The BMW 740Ld xDrive is close to becoming available to its future customers living over-seas. According to BMW USA, the model in question will be hitting the market this spring and its future customers will have to pay 83,425 USD for it, including the 925 USD destination charge and handling fee.
“BMW announced today that the BMW 7 Series would become the latest model line to benefit from BMW Advanced Diesel technology in the US in the form of the BMW 740Ld xDrive Sedan”, as the company is saying in its official press release.
Power to the BMW 740Ld xDrive is being provided by a 3.0 liter TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder diesel engine, which is rated at 255 HP (190 kW) and 559 (413 lb-ft) of torque. The unit is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, which is sending power to the all-wheel drive system. The 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) acceleration takes 6.1 seconds. The model in question will be making its debut during the 2014 Chicago Auto Show.
