A new special edition of the BMW i8 has been announced by the North American division of the carmaker, which will be named the i8 Concours d’Elegance.
The BMW i8 will soon receive a new special edition. The model in question has been named the BMW i8 Concours d’Elegance Edition and it will be coming with the BMW Individual Frozen Grey Metallic exterior and it will be getting the new laser headlights, the BMW i Blue contrast stitching on the Dalbergia Brown leather upholstery, the BMW i8 embossed headrests, special trim, the laser etched Concours d’Elegance Edition badging and several other tweaks, which will definitely help it stand out from a crowd.
As far as the engine goes, no modifications are expected to be made here and we should still find the 131 HP (86 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque hybrid synchronous motor, which is backed up by the I3 1.5 liter range extender, with its 228 HP (170 kW) and 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) of torque. The total output produced stands at 357 HP (266 kW) and 570 Nm (420 lb-ft) of torque. The BMW i8 Concours d’Elegance Edition will be auctioned at the Gooding & Company Pebble Beach Auction on the 16th of August.
