BMW will open Connected Drive lab and a design studio in Shanghai, which will allow key development initiatives to be directly linked to Asian markets.
Both innovation centers will be located in Shanghai’s Huangpu District, former French Concession, one of the fastest growing cities in the world. The new design studio will bring the invaluable insights from the Chinese market provide entry into the Asian market for its European and North American clients, bring new international client partnerships and opportunities to the region and further inform Designworks USA’s global perspective ,considered the inspirational think tank for the BMW Group brands.

BMW also plans to open another global development center dedicated to advanced ConnectedDrive functions in the areas of infotainment, convenience and safety especially for Chinese customers.
