The facelifted version of the BMW X1 has recently leaked over the internet ahead of its official debut at the 2012 New York Auto Show on the 4th of April.
After presenting us with the first images of the Fisker Atlantic, aka Project Nina, and then the facelifted Mercedes-Benz GL, the guys at autoforum.cz are once again placing a model into the spotlights, this time the BMW X1 facelift, which is wearing the 2013 model year in its name, meaning that the small crossover will go on sale later this year. What is mostly interesting about these images is that they are revealing a “new” model only a day before it will be officially presented to the public at the 2012 New York Auto Show.
The 2013 BMW X1 facelift is coming, as you can see from the images posted below, with a redesigned front bumper with silver accents, new side mirrors, redesigned side sills, the same headlights with a new internal design, new rear bumper and new taillights. The interior design is also adding a few changes, but these are very small and they can be found on the lower center console and dash panel trim. Under the hood, the “new” X1 is expected to come with the same engines in Europe, but in the U.S. the model might be powered by the 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, with its 242 BHP and 258 lb-ft of torque (350 Nm).
