New renderings with the upcoming BMW X2 have recently hit the web and they might provide us with a first look into the sporty compact crossover.
The compact crossover lineup made by BMW is about to be expanded with a new addition, the X2. The development of the model in question is no surprise anymore as it has been rumored several times until now but with the introduction of its larger brothers, we now get to see how it may look like, in two brand new renderings. The images posted below have been signed by Theophilus Chin and they are showing the sporty compact crossover, with its sloping roof line and three-door body style.
When it will be developed, the new BMW X2 is expected to be using the same front-wheel drive platform which is currently used on the 2-Series Active Tourer. This will be based on the new generation of the X1, which is said to be introduced in a couple of years, and the model in question should follow it shortly, one year later. It remains to be seen whether its body style will cut away the rear doors but we are expecting the same technologies, interior design and engines from the X1.
