BMW X4 goes official – video and photo gallery inside
The brand new BMW X4 crossover has been officially unveiled by the German based automaker.
Originally previewed by the X4 Concept back in 2013, the brand new BMW X4 is finally here, in its production version, as the model in question has been officially unveiled. The new X4 is actually based on the X3 but it’s adopting the sporty design from its larger brother, the X6, coming with an aggressive front fascia, distinctive fog lights, twin headlights, a prominent front grille, L-shaped LED taillights, a rear diffuser and a sloping roofline, amongst others.
BMW says that the recently unveiled X4 is actually 14 mm longer and 36 mm lower than the X3, on which is based, but the cabin is actually identical, coming with gloss black control panel surrounds, with electroplated accents, aluminum trim, a 40:20:40 split rear seat which can be folded down in order to increase the cargo capacity to 1,400 liters.
A total of six different engines will become available for the new BMW X4 once this will be hitting the market, starting with the 190 HP (140 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) 2.0 liter diesel, the 258 HP (190 kW) and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) diesel, the 313 HP (230 kW) and 630 Nm (464 lb-ft) diesel, the 184 HP (135 kW) and 270 Nm (199 lb-ft) petrol, the 245 HP (180 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) petrol and the 306 HP (225 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) petrol. Prices for the new BMW X4 will start at 45,625 USD, over seas.
