The upcoming BMW X4 is believed to make its public debut in April 2014, during the New York Auto Show.
The German based automaker BMW is planning to officially pull the wraps off the final production version of the X4 next April, during the 2014 New York Auto Show. The announcement hasn’t been made officially just yet and it’s part of a report published by Autocar. According to our source, the carmaker will also introduced a redesigned X6 in August, during the Moscow Motor Show, and towards the end of the year, the new X5 M and X6 M will make their public debuts, with their 4.4L V8 producing 555 HP (408 kW) and 680 Nm (502 lb-ft).
The BMW X4 will mirror the X6, but on a smaller scale, and its engines will come from the X3, so expect the 2.0L TwinPower Turbo with 240 BHP (179 kW) and at least one six-cylinder TwinPower Turbo with 300 BHP (224 kW). The X4 will have about the same dimensions as the X3 in length (4,648 mm – 183 in) and wheelbase but it’s believed to sit 53 mm lower and to be 34 mm wider than the model. The BMW X4 will compete with models like the Range Rover Evoque, the Porsche Macan, the Audi Q5 Coupe and the Mercedes-Benz GLK.
