New rendering images with the BMW X4 have just made their way onto the web and they might provide us with a first look into the final production version of the crossover.
Rumors on BMW developing a new crossover based on the current X3, which will be named the X4, have been around ever since early last year, but now the model is getting closer and closer to its final production shape and, naturally, people are becoming more interested in it. This is the case of the guys at Automobile Magazine, who have decided to release a couple of renderings with the upcoming BMW X4.
The BMW X4 will be a smaller and cheaper version of the BMW X6 and it will have a similar design and a sloping roof line as its larger brother. The BMW X4 will ride on the same platform as the BMW X4 and it will also share some engines and underpinnings with the model. The BMW X4, which was codenamed the F26, will be officially presented to the public later on this year and it’s expected to go on sale in early 2014. Additional details on the model remain unknown for the moment.
