The brand new BMW X4 has been recently spied once again ahead of its public debut which is believed to take place by the end of the year or in early 2014.
The German based automaker BMW is getting busier with every month passing and in between working on the new 4-Series Coupe and Cabrio, on the new M3 and M4, on the facelifted 5-Series, on the new generation of the X5 and on the facelifted 7-Series, the company is also planning to develop a new crossover. The model in question will be named the X4 and it will basically be a smaller version of the X6.
The new BMW X4 will be based on the X3, just like the X6 is based on the X5. The model in question is believed to get come in the 28i and 35i flavors, equipped with 2-liter and 3-liter turbocharged engines, and the 20d will also make its way into the lineup later on. The brand new BMW X4 is expected to be officially introduced next year, during the 2014 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, in January. More details on the crossover are limited for the moment and will probably be announced close to its debut.
