The German based automaker BMW is planning to put the X4 into production next year and the crossover should be launched by the end of 2014.
BMW has big plans for its range and after it will pull the wraps off the facelifted 5-Series, on the new generation of the 4-Series in Coupe and Convertible shapes, on the new M4 and M3 and on the new generation of the X5, the German based automaker is getting ready to unveil a brand new model, which is named the X4. The BMW X4 isn’t a shock for anyone who has been reading the automotive news because over the past year we have had some encounters with it.
The BMW X4 will be a coupe-crossover which will be based on the same platform as the X3. The model is going to be a smaller and cheaper version of the X6 and, thanks to its sloping roofline, it will probably be successful too. The BMW X4 has been codenamed as the F26 and it will be made on the same monocoque steel platform as the second generation of the X3, sharing some engines and underpinnings with the model. The BMW X4 is expected to make its way onto the market next year and it should be unveiled in early 2014.
