The brand new BMW X5 Concept eDrive has been recently spotted out in Paris while cruising the streets.
After being officially presented to the public just earlier this year, the BMW X5 Concept eDrive is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of some new images, which are showing a slightly camouflaged model cruising the streets of Paris. The model in question is coming with a special camouflage and it stands out from the standard X5 thanks to the aerodynamic roof rails, the front left fender, the modified front bumper or the bespoke alloy wheels, 21-inch in size.
The BMW X5 Concept eDrive is offering a preview into the production version of the X5 plug-in hybrid, which is said to begin in 2015, at the company’s Spartanburg facility. The one-off vehicle has a plug-in hybrid powertrain under its hood, which is using a four-cylinder TwinPower Turbo unit, rated at 245 HP (180 kW) and an electric motor, with 95 HP (70 kW), connected to a lithium ion battery. The 0 to 100 km/h acceleration is made in less than 7 seconds. The average fuel consumption stands at 3.8L /100km (74.3 mpg UK / 61.8 mpg US) and the CO2 emissions stand at 90 g/km.
