The new generations of the BMW X5 M and X6 M will be officially introduced in Australia soon as the two range topping versions will be setting you back for 185,900 AUD and 194,700 AUD, respectively.
BMW is getting ready to introduce the new X5 M and X6 M on the Australian market. The two top of the line versions are coming with standard features such as the BMW Individual leather instrument panel, for the X6 M only, the Metallic paint, electronic tailgate, Merino leather, sunroof, heated and electrically adjustable front seats and steering wheel with memory settings, ConnectedDrive Freedom, tire pressure monitor, Harman Kardon audio, DAB digital radio, head-up display, surround view camera system, park assist, pedestrian warning, forward collision warning with emergency braking, lane departure, 21-inch wheels, Dynamic Performance Control, Dynamic Damper Control and Dynamic Drive bodyroll mitigation.
The most important part of the two models is found under their hoods, where the 4.4 liter twin turbo V8 engine is resting. The unit is capable of producing a total output of 423 HP and 750 Nm of torque and this is the most powerful engine BMW has offered with AWD and it is connected to the 8-speed sports automatic transmission. From 0 to 100 km/h, the models need just 4.2 seconds. Prices for the BMW X5 M start from 185,900 AUD and for the X6 M they have been set at 194,700 AUD, respectively, plus on-road costs. The X5 M is more expensive than the Mercedes ML63 AMG but cheaper than the Range Rover Sport SVR and the Porsche Cayenne Turbo.
