A series of M Performance parts for the BMW X5 M and X6 M have been recently introduced by the German based automaker.
The range topping versions of the new X5 and X6 generations, drug the X5 M and X6 M, have recently become more attractive thanks to the addition of M Performance parts. These include the exclusive radiator and side grille ornamental trim with the black slats, the M logo, the black frame, the carbon fiber side mirror packs and the M stripes added to the exterior design.
The cabin of the two models hasn’t been left unchanged either and this is now adding features such as the carbon fiber interior trim strips, the carbon fiber with the M logo for the selector lever of the 8-speed gearbox, the illuminated M Performance lettering, the center console trim with the Alcantara and painted carbon around the selector lever, the stainless steel pedal covers, the new floor mats and the M Performance steering wheel wrapped in Alcantara, amongst others.
Under the hood of the two performance SAVs, we can find the same 4.4 liter V8 twin turbo engine, which is capable of producing a total of 567 HP (423 kW) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque. The unit is mated to the 8-sped M Steptronic transmission which is allowing a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint to be made in 4.2 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). The two models have made their public debut last year, in Los Angeles.
