The first rendering with the upcoming BMW X7 has recently hit the web and it might be offering us a first preview into what the SUV may look like when it will finally hit the market.
The development of the BMW X7 has been already announced by the German based automaker, a few days ago, and now, the model in question is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of an image. The rendering posted above has been signed by the guys at Car and Driver and it’s bringing influences from several models, including the new X5 generation along with the Gran Lusso Concept.
The BMW X7 will be produced in Spartanburg, South Carolina, as the plant will increase its production to 450,000 units by the end of 2016, thanks to the 1 billion USD investment. The new SUV will be riding on the same platform which underpins the next 5-Series and the next 7-Series generation and it will become a rival for some premium SUVs like the Range Rover or the Porsche Cayenne, or even the ones coming from Rolls-Royce, Lamborghini, Bentley and others. The final production version of the BMW X7 is said to come in 2017 or 2018.
