BMW X7 to be produced in Spartanburg image

The new seven-seat luxury SUV coming from BMW, the X7, will be produced in the Spartanburg facility, in South Carolina, and it will be offered in late 2017 or early 2018.

The BMW X5 will soon be overcome by a newer, larger and more luxurious SUV which will be called the X7. The development of such a model is no longer a surprise as this has been the subject to a lot of reports, over the past few months. The newest one has been signed by the guys from motor.es and it is telling us that the new BMW X7 will be launched in late 2017 or early 2018 and it is expected that this should come with the 2018 model year in its name.

The BMW X7 is known internally as the G07 and it will be sharing some underpinnings and the sample platform with the Rolls-Royce SUV. Development of both models has apparently begun a couple of years ago and even if they will be pretty much the same, the BMW and the Rolls-Royce vehicles will be different, as the “British” one will be more luxurious and expensive. The X7 should start from 130,000 euros and it will become a direct competitor for the Range Rover. This is said to become even more luxurious than a 7-Series and it should be produced at the Spartanburg facility, in South Carolina, in about 45,000 units. More details on it are limited at this time.
